As you all know we have been without a dealership for awhile and although there have been numerous applications, Harley Davidson have for various reasons not issued any trade licenses as yet. We as a club are dependant on our loyal members and strong committee and even without the steady flow of new club members we have managed to maintain the club, all thanks to our loyal members renewing their membership and we encourage you to continue doing so. HOG Pretoria is financially sound and we offer all the same benefits as other HOG chapters.
In the recent past there have been numerous developments within HOG Pretoria
Our Head Road Captain, Les Fuller has been appointed as National Head Road Captain and Carl Frayne, our Assistant Director, has been appointed as the National Head Safety Officer, both were primary or EXCO members of HOG Pretoria. Denise Barnard, our editor and photographer, has also been appointed to HOG SA, she is the new National HOG Tales editor for Sub Saharan Africa. This proves that HOG Pretoria is in many ways a leader amongst South African HOG Chapters and we will continue to strive to be the best. These two leaders will carry the same passion and commitment that they showed to HOG Pretoria forward to benefit all the clubs in South Africa. HOG Pretoria wishes them well and wants to thank them for their contributions and leadership in our club. They will still ride with us when time permits. There are now new opportunities for other members in our club to fill their vacant positions.
We are very pleased to announce that Ian Greyling has been elected at the Marshals meeting as the new Head Road Captain for HOG Pretoria.
I am leaving for Sturgis rally in the USA and hope to share my experience with the club on my return.
Ride and have fun
Willie Hills
